The Sungate Power Dashboard is an excellent and useful tool to provide you with realtime energy consumption information for you home.
Why is this important?
Knowing what you are consuming (and paying for each month) is one thing! Being able to pinpoint the things in your home that are costing you more on your energy bill is your first line of defense to cut back on the ongoing rising costs of energy.
Utility bills may continue to rise, but Sungate will help you keep your utility bill controlled with renewal energy products and a monitoring system that allows you to save money.
The Sungate Power Dashboard provides a wealth of information. Attractive and small, it can be used anywhere in the home.
The settings and readouts are easily accessible with the buttons on top of the unit (seen in the photo above). Some of the Power Dashboard's features include:
- Compact, elegant design.
- Installs anywhere in the home.
- Operates on AC or AA batteries.
- Using the simple configuration of buttons on the top of the Power Dashboard, the homeowner can easily cycle through the various screens to monitor their energy usage.

- The transmitter, paired to a receiver, sends usage data through a wireless connection.
- There are a number of screens to view – each with very informative data.
- The Power Dashboard comes with a multi-page user guide to refer to for usage.
- First, the unit is configured for the correct time and date.
- Once it is receiving its real-time data it will display the amount of energy being used in the home at that given time.
- After a few days of use, the homeowner can begin cycling through the history screens to
compare their hourly and daily use.
- Eventually, they can view histories and make comparisons for weekly and monthly use.
- The dashboard allows two tariff amounts to be programmed – in effect, a high and low cost factor for the electrical usage.
- Sungate's Power Dashboard will also provide the homeowner with the amount of carbon emissions they are generating.
- The unit will warn a homeowner of extremely high (HI) energy usage.
- It also has a programmable alarm that will react to user-set energy usage thresholds.
